The technology can create "realistic synthetic voices" from just a few seconds of speech, OpenAI said in a release. Spotify said it will help make the podcast listening experience more authentic and natural by maintaining podcasters' "distinctive speech characteristics." Spotify said it plans to make the feature accessible for more creators and languages in the future.

Rapinoe won the Women's World Cup twice, most recently in 2019. She continued to do so for the US national team, a symbol not appreciated by everyone in the country. But, despite all the success that went before, her World Cup dreams ended in a penalty shootout heartbreak. There was to be no perfect ending for Rapinoe as the US was dumped out of the 2023 Women's World Cup last-16. A smile of disbelief masked the pain as she trudged off the pitch, never to play in a World Cup again.

CNN —Spotify executive and popular podcaster Bill Simmons has hit out at Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, labeling them “grifters,” after their multi-year partnership with Spotify ended on Friday. “I wish I had been involved in the ‘Meghan and Harry leave Spotify’ negotiation,” Simmons said on his self-titled podcast Friday. I have got to get drunk one night and tell the story of the Zoom I had with Harry to try and help him with a podcast idea. John Nacion Imaging/ShutterstockCNN has reached out to both Archewell and Spotify for comment on Simmons’ remarks. Simmons previously criticized Harry in a January 2023 episode of his podcast, saying that he was “so embarrassed” to share Spotify with him.

The collaborative efforts between Spotify and Harry and Meghan has resulted in just one, 12-episode series of the podcast "Archetypes." Spotify executive Bill Simmons described Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, as "grifters" after the couple's partnership with the streaming platform came to a seemingly premature end Friday. "Spotify and Archewell Audio have mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we made together," Spotify and Archewell Audio said in a joint statement. "Shoot this guy to the sun, I'm so tired of this guy," Simmons said on his self-titled podcast in January. Archewell Audio did not immediately respond to CNBC's request for comment.

Viewers say the character seems to resemble aspects of both Elon Musk and Spotify CEO Daniel Ek. Alexander Skarsgard plays Matsson, the billionaire CEO of tech streaming media giant GoJo – a socially awkward, vaguely sinister tech bro. But viewers have been pointing out the character's similarities to two bosses in particular — Elon Musk, and Spotify CEO Daniel Ek. "I definitely didn't try to play an Elon Musk character," Skarsgard said. In one recent episode of "Succession," Matsson tweets a "very nasty joke" after Kendall Roy's presentation about the Living+ initiative because he's less than pleased about the move.
Before they shared movie screens together, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon shared a bank account. The Oscar-winning duo have been friends since high school, where they both aspired to make it in Hollywood. "It was unusual, but we needed the money for auditions," Damon said, calling it "a weird thing in retrospect." "We were going to help each other and be there for each other," Affleck said. "It was like, 'You're not going to be alone.
One of the really interesting questions here – this will be fascinating – the core of linear TV is sports rights. When you look at the size and scope of the linear TV business, it's huge. Patrick T. Fallon | Afp | Getty ImagesByron Allen, Entertainment Studios founder and CEO: I think linear TV will exist for a very, very long time. Simmons: I believe Apple, out of nowhere, will start making their own awesome televisions that have Apple TV embedded in them. We are witnessing early stages of this dynamic with deals like "NFL Sunday Ticket" on YouTube and the MLS deal with Apple TV.
Despite building a career that spans more than 80 films and six Oscar nominations, the 66-year-old actor commented in a recent interview that only a handful of his movies are "pretty good." "No one knows how a movie is made, though everyone thinks they do," he told the magazine. "I've made a ton of movies — and four of them are pretty good, I think — and I'm still amazed at how films come together. Which four films he was referring to remains a mystery, but Hanks did give a clue in an interview last year. He listed 1992's "A League of Their Own", 2000's "Castaway" and 2012's "Cloud Atlas" as the three best experiences he had making movies.
